At the Movies
The recurring movie-trailer review desk on Barely Informed News, usually billed on-air as Trent at the Movies or Trailer Thursday.
Format
Field correspondent Trent — a truant teen of deliberately ambiguous age — hosts from a green-screen movie theater while his probation officer Chris supervises (and argues) from the same “BIN movie theater” bit. The pair screen trailers, assign half-serious ratings, and digress into genre fights, green-screen safety lectures, and parole logistics.
Key Elements
- Trent (Young Blood): Self-styled cultural taste-maker and movie correspondent; long hair lore, beanie-and-blazer theater look, contractual “fire transition” when the desk allows.
- Chris (Probation Officer): Required on-set supervision for Trent’s community-service broadcast work; co-hosts reviews, undercuts Trent’s takes, and occasionally hijacks the mic.
- Trailer Block: Several trailers per appearance (studio, indie, game-adjacent, and deeply cursed), often with chat rating schemes.
- Alias Soup: Same desk appears as Trailer Thursday, Trailer Time, Trend at the Movies, Go to the Movies, and plain At the Movies.
